Whittier hosts an annual Christmas Parade along Greenleaf Avenue and boasts several unique floats decorated with festive decorations and lights. Many local bands march along, including bands from local high schools. In years past, the parade has attracted thousands of spectators to Whittier. 

 

Whittier is home to a unique park with a petting zoo. At Parnell Park, visitors can play on the playground or visit the Parnell Park Storybook Zoo, where they can interact with a large variety of wildlife, including miniature horses, potbelly pigs, tortoises, and alpacas.
